I am looking for any information on Cecil Reuben Ash, my Great Uncle, who emigrated to Cadell, South Australia sometime between 1915 and 1926 where he and his wife Mabel ran a Store and Post Office. He and his father George (1843-1924) previously ran a Confectioners in Clerkenwell Road, London. Cecil is thought to have had two daughters, one called Doris.

Hello Robert,

I'm wondering if any of these names are familiar. I have and Edith Louisa Ash and her twin sister Sophie Ash born on 18 April 1870 born at Port Gawler South Australia. their father was George Ash and mother Ruth Elizabeth Beaumont. Can't trace any one else. I know that there were older siblings of Edith. Any help

Robert I have tried sending a personal message, but I am actually Cecil's great granddaughter, living in South Australia. Doris was my grandmother.

Hi Kim

As you know he probably will not see this. your best bet is wait a while to see if he replies to your private message.

I dont know when you sent the message but do not expect an instant responce. I only look at my emails approx once a week
