Very sketchy I'm afraid. My father, Geoffrey Victor Greenhalgh was I think born in Swinton, Lancashire (23rd May 1929) but moved to Bradford West Yorks as a boy. His mother and father were John (or Jack) and Doris. Just starting to look into my family tree so any details very welcome.

Geoffrey V was registered in the June Q 1928 at Barton Island. NOT 1929
Was Geoffrey an only child?
John Greenhalgh married Doris Smith in the June Q 1927 at Bradford.
Getting this marriage certificate will give you the fathers enabling you to progress to the 1911 census.

The birth was registered in Barton upon Irwell - NOT Barton Island - No such place !!!

Maybe Peter had two memberships in GR?

Geoffrey is only in the tree of the OP, not that of the responder.

He is also in the tree of another member, with correct birth year
