Hi My name is Jill Smith, My Mothers maiden name was Sylvia Nesta KEEN, she was known as Nesta born in 1920 in Kilburn London, she has a younger sister Rita Joyce and younger brother Roy Victor. Their father was Malachi Samuel Victor Keen. Malachi went to America before the First World War and crossed the border to Canada and joined the Army, he then came back to England and married their Mother Ellen Emily Alderman. Malachi had two brothers Sydney and Leslie, and maybe a sister Mabel. There could be others but mum does not remember. The whole family history was not talked about when she was young and mum does not even know their dates of birth or marriage dates or when her father died. I hope this information rings some bells with someone although there is not much to go on. Mum has always wondered where her father's family was from, she is now 85 and it will probably remain a mystery.
