Find Ancestors

I am trying to find information on:

Ralph Kitchener Merril born dec 1/4 1900.
John Henry Merrill born Jun 1/4 1902.
Both born in Macclesfield.

Possibly siblings of Florence Merrill ( born 29/08/1899) who was the daughter of John William Merrill and Mary Helena Tomlinson.

Still trying to find if Florence had any children: married Alfred William Chapman in 1918. Died in 1981.

On the 1901 census Florence is with grandmother Harriet Ann Merrill, 46, who has a married son with her, John Wm., 23. (Florence's father?)

Sadly, it looks as if Ralph died before the 1901 census. The only way you will find his parents is to buy the cert unless you can find a baptism for him.

To everyone who has helped me: Jax, K, Shirley, somerset girl, Potty, MargaretManson, thankyou very much. I am sorry if I have confused you am I confused my self!

I have noted down the details you have given me and am looking into whether they are indeed her children / grandchildren. I have been in touch with Macclesfield library and East Cheshire records office.

Regarding birth certficates - how much do they cost and how do I get hold of them? Or would getting hold of death certificates be more helpful?

Florence's Mum is still something of a mystery - she does not appear on any censuses after 1881!

Am trying to persuade mum (and her chap) that a nice trip to Macclesfield would be a good idea!
