I can do lookups on the 1841-1901 Census.I have access to Parish Records,Incoming Passenger lists to the UK.I love to help with brick walls and missing people on the census records. And this is mainly what my thread is for.
Please post as much info as poss.I will get round to your lookup as soon as possible if you have no reply within 24 hours please post a reminder on the thread.
Please do not place a lookup request on this thread that has already been requested on the boards. For BMD's up to 1920 please use free BMD.

Michelle.
Lost for Words has a warning message on here. Thanks All Its Been Fun-)+ A Warning. Its on the TTF board
She has been told by a site ( not sure which) that if she didnt stop doing work for others her account would be terminated.
Could it be GR has deleted your offering to do census look ups to protect you and also for their sake as they too might be in trouble allowing it. It would be a pity if you suffer the same fate as LFW

Nicola Report 4 Nov 2008 12:03

Hi Michelle, I have already had some people try and help with my elusive family, but we are not having much luck.
My great grandfather was John Clements b 1825 ish lambeth, surrey and married to Elizabeth Burley in 1845. They had about 9 children. On Johns marriage certificate it has his father Thomas down as a fishmonger for an occupation, but for love nor money we cannot find a Thomas Clements anywhere in the vicinity of surrey, middlesex or london who was a fishmonger! We are struggling. On the 1841 census there is a John Clements, who I believe to be mine aged 16 and living at a house on Bridge Street.
I would love to be able to connect John and Thomas, but I do not have a mother for John and it is causing more problems than it is worth.
Can you offer any form of assistance?
Regards
Nicola

if the 1871 i found is not him then the only other option is that he left the country?Have a search of the Records Office Board and look for World lookups and see if someone can check the Amercian and Aus census records to see if he left the country.

There are 3 quarters missing from the records on Ancestry. These are Q3 and 4 of 1925 and Q4 of 1926.The marriage could well be in these quarters.I managed to get the Q4 1926 by lowering the letters in the name and no Thomas in 1926 Q4.Also managed to get Q3 1925 and nothing. You may need to contact Nottinghamshire record office and give them a time scale to search for the marriage for you.I will try and look for the birth for you.

Hi Michelle.
Any help would be great with the following family please.
This is all the info I have at present.
Winifred Thomas born 24/ 8/ 1896 at cardiff married Hugh owen Thomas in dec 1815 at neath.
Its Winifred and her family I'm trying to trace.
Her parents were Idris Thomas possibly from Tonyrefail Wales and Rose possibly thomas? from Cardiff wales. Their children were Winifred Thomas as above, Violet Thomas, Hilda May Thomas and a boy Glyndwr Thomas. I think this is the correct order they were born. I know Idris Thomas was employed as a coachman in Cardiff by Chivers the Jam people and that his parents were from Tonyrefail town called Pant y Brad. Idris and Rose split up while living in Tonyrefail and Rose lived for some time at Margam Terrace in Port Talbot, West Glamorgan, Wales.
I didn't realise till now how little I really have on them if you could find anything at all birth dates of the children or Idris and Rose's marriage date or on the census in 1901 I would be really gratefull.
Many thanks Brenda.
