Hello Ansett,
I don't know if you are still active on this site, but the confusion you mention - e.g. between 1901, 1911 censuses - may be because the families are probably not the same, but related. I have been looking for more information on John Henry Wilding, born 1889 Wolverhampton, a coppersmith.

I don't believe everything but James William was born in Mayfair, London on 1911 census

I wonder if he is from a wealthy family?

Do you already have the marriage cert as that would give more useful info??

If you have it, could you give the details please?

Thanks Tootyfruity.........will send for birth certificate, this seems to be the best avenue.
Some of the best advice I have received re genealogy searching is "don't believe everything you see on the census form.....would you agree??

Yes I agree, some of the dates have been a real pain.
I have been all over the place with the family dates name etc.
I had to use a bit leway with the dates etc, not all truthful it seems.
