im trying to find catherine carle born 1823 ?in ireland and husband patrick o'neill-they eventually settled in wrexham walesbut prior to that I can see no trace - there is a suggestion that they lived in london and cardiff before moving to wrexham....can anyone do a record search for me to locate them ???

patchem....the census says catherine c o'neill born in ireland..I wonder if the C could stand for carle ? does it say where in wales she came from.or where patrick o'neill came from in ireland ??

Have you tried to find the marriage for Catherine Carle to Patrick O'Neil in Ireland in about 1847?

From that 1851 census they were living in Wrexham, but the daughter Catherine born in Ireland, so if they stayed in London or Cardiff it was not for very long. Though as Patrick was not with them on that census, he could have been working elsewhere.

Have you looked for her as Carel/Carroll etc - do the children's birth certificates always spell the surname as Carle?

To know Catherine's maiden name I presume you have one of the childrens' births certificates- which one? What was the address the child was born at and the occupation for father, Patrick?

in 1861 the family were at Tuttle Street, Wrexham Abbot, Wrexham, Denbighshire.

This appears in the paper 1870:

Yet Catherine still appears to be living with a Patrick in 1871??

So a death in 1870 of a Patrick Oneil age 40 would be a different Patrick.
