This concerns an Isaac Brown born 1773[who became a draper and tailor ]and set up business in Deal Kent.
I am trying to prove whether he was born to a Brown family from New Romney in Kent.
The church involved was St Nicholas with three children born to this family.
Ann 1771,Abraham 1775 and an Elizabeth 1777.
I am lead to believe that between 1772 and 1774 there was no resident pastor for this church.
Does someone live in that area and be willing to check out records of births for 1773.
Regards.
Michael.
Michael.

Hi Ann,
I know its me again but as i live a long way from that area i need to know[trying different angles to this search] if he was at all linked to the Brown family in New Romney.
The reason that i am still pursuing this quest is that on the transcript of Isaac's marriage in Deal in 1798,one of the witnesses to the marriage was an Abraham Brown!
Could it have been the brother born 1775?
It just seems strange that nothing can be found of his birthplace.
Regards.
Michael.

Hi there,
Am stuck on two other Brown's and am hoping that someone has an answer.
Clement Victor Brown born Dover 1900 died 1983 Croydon Surrey.
He married a Grace Richardson in Camberwell in 1926 but no trace of children until 1941!
Did Grace die and he married again at a later age?
George Brown born Nunhead London 1901 and mentioned in Merchant seamen medals WW1 1912-1925.Cannot trace any further details about him.
Await some hopeful info in due course.
Regards.
Michael.

Your George Brown born 1901 would barely have been old enough to be in WW1, aged 13 when war started, 17 when it ended.
