I am looking for Williams family.
From his marriage cert to Riviera Burt, his father was William Wallace Rayner, postman

William was born 8/5/1893 Poplar. I have no idea who his mother was or details of siblings.

I do have details on Riviera's family.

Thank you
Rose

When he enlisted in 1914, he named his uncle Harry Olding, and aunt (Hester/Nellie, can't make it out) of 40 Hanover buildings, Poplar as his nok.

Many thanks everybody. 1901 census not found so cannot trace siblings, thats a shame!

AnnCardiff........ On the 1911 census are you able to tell me where Riviera was as I have just realised she is not on the census with her mother at 37 Cobden Street , Poplar. Could be her place of work?

Thank you

Prickly Holly... Is this unusual not to be found on 1901 and 1911?

Thanks

It seems they gave son William to the Stanley family..........and then they disappear!

I looked to see if William appears with the surname of "Stanley" on the 1911 census, but no luck there!

Henry and Emma Stanley may have died by then because they do not appear on the 1911.

Prickly Holly, Thank you for 1911 census for Riviera Burt, see her sister Gertrude Grant Burt is also working in the same household, fantastic

One thing to check is a marriage in Bromley in 1895 for William Wallace Rayner to Edith J Fowle - they appear together on 1901/1911 census and he dies in 1912. But this William Wallace Rayner was born c1853, however we do not know the age of the one who married Caroline. Sorry, he was born c1858 not 1853

Would have discounted it, but just noticed that the possible William was with the Stanley's in Bromley!
