I am trying to trace a death in America for an Owen Daly who may have left England around 1938. He was born in Co Cavan, Ireland in 1907.
He is not the one who died in California in 1980.
Any help would be wonderful

We need more info to make sure we follow the right man. Do you have him on the 1911 census?

The one who arrived in 1927 was born Kingscourt, Co. Cavan. Father was Thomas Daly, Meath Hill, Drumconrath?, Co. Meath. he's heading to California to join brother James Daly, 4638 17th. St., San Francisco.

Paul has put that he is not the California death, and possibly to America in 1938.

So does the California death possibly go with that 1927 passage?

Many thanks for your replies. Owen's father was also named Owen, and they are on the 1911 census in Cavan, Ireland. He married in England and had four children, the last in 1938 and it was about that time that he disappears and abandons the family, they believe he may have gone to the USA. I could not see him on the 1940 American census.
There is an Owen Daly born in 1906 in Ireland who dies in California in 1980, he is on the 1940 census with a wife Bernice, but we have seen a photo of them and it is not him.
