We are looking for a Maria Carter age 7 bn 1864c, living 15 Upper Queen Street Islington on 1871 census Charles Carter Mary Ann, Philip 9 Maria 7 Robert,4,,,, Philip Lane marr Mary Ann Banksbland 25 Dec 1858, son Philip Edward Lane born 20 May 1862, Philip Lane died 1866, Mary Ann then marr Charles Carter 6 May 1867, son Charles Robert bn 15 Oct 1867 we have certs for all above but not Maria, (It's not the Maria Lane bn 10 July 1864 1b 214 Islington) am stumped at present, could do with a bit of help please.

As it was before 1874 she maybe just wasn't registered. There doesn't appear to be a baptism either unfortunately.

Just wish i could find the family in 1861..........they appear to have disappeared!

I wonder if her age was mis-heard or mistranscribed by the enumerator and he put 7 instead of 11........................and Maria in 1871 is Annie Maria born 1860.

Can't definitely find Maria in 1881 to confirm that they are two different people.

But............if she is the Annie Maria who marries James Carr in 1879 then she was born in 1860...................she is consistent with her age on the 1881 and 1891 census records until her death in 1894. James George then married Fanny Dell in 1897.
