estranged from his wife around 1959/1960 ish, he left home and was never heard of again.
love to know if he had children later in his life
love to know where he went, probably where he is buried now. at age 106 we are not a family known for old age, especially in the males.

i knew he married Doris Berrick, she remained part of our family until her death about 5 years ago. funny, she outlived every one.

The list of names on the marriage entry are two couples getting married. I didn't know he married Doris so I posted them all

hi Frank, the deaths index shows full names and dates of birth for deaths after 1969, but there is no John Fisher with birthdate 3 Sep 1908 as shown in the baptism record Gins posted

so he could have died before that year

but there is no John G Fisher death with age to match 1908

in case he emigrated, unfortunately passenger lists are only available up to 1960

possibly given the circumstances, he did what people not uncommonly did, and adopted a different name and possibly even married under that name

i have always been afraid that he took a different name. it would have been very easy to do back in the late 50's or early 60's.
and yes im also scared he emigrated. like i did.

so a general question to all.
what if he wanted to draw a pension? how did that work?
i recall i had a social security card with a number on it. was it called a social security card? it was green card if my memory serves.
do you need to tell the pension people your social security number to draw a pension?
could one trace a person through pension records?
are pension records available?

i left the UK 34 years ago so i do not fully understand how the pension system works there.

the search will only give you her registered surname, which would ordinarily have been her father's, and her mother's birth surname

it really is quick and easy to do

however there is no result except in 1945

if you make the first names Ros* A and search 1960-1966 ... the only results are for the name Rosemary.

that information is not available for people born more recently

Assuming that Warley is in West Midlands, search at freebmd for Roslyn A born in West Midlands (select from the list on the right side) 1960-1966

there is a result that could be the one you are after

for living people it is always best to get information from them directly


in any case the person you are asking about is in someone's family tree here at GR

she should not be there unless the tree owner has her permission, which would suggest the tree owner is in touch with her, but too often that is not the case as many people put distant living relations in their trees without a thought
