What leads you to the suppositions you have made?

have you looked at freebmd for births and marriages post-1837?

have you checked the 1871 and 1881 censuses?

Both are FREE at

https://familysearch.org/

......which is also the repository of pre-1837 records

At first glance, I would question your maths regarding Joseph being the son of Edward., who would have been 56 years old in 1791

I have been unable to find William (1819) in 1841 on FMP

Perhaps he can be found on Ancestry?

MargaretM

MargaretM Report 16 Oct 2014 17:10

A tree on Ancestry says that William (1819-1878) was the son of Joseph (1791-1851) who was the son of another Joseph (1760-1808)

Essex records are in very short supply on the LDS site.

I believe there is a dedicated site for the County...is it SEAX?

Jacqueline

Jacqueline Report 16 Oct 2014 17:13

That would make more sense, Margee

I think our OP missed out a generation

Leslie

You must bear in mind that no-one on here can actually confirm your thoughts, although, as with at least one other of your threads, we can disprove them

All we can do is look for records and present them for you to evaluate

As with your other similar threads......certs are the way to get absolute accuracy
