Thank you for all who answered. I have been sent a very tattered and almost illegible copy of a marriage certificate . it is dated 18/2/1787 at Ibsley. and wifey is listed as Betty (possibly Elizabeth).The Edmund (1803) is obviously a son, but I am still no closer to finding out the Edmund senior's parents.
I am researching from Perth, Australia and so have distance issues.!!
