Hi not sure if the Ann Hurst in the above census is the right one as have now found to more Ann Hursts for Westhoughton on the LDS site in 1901 census could someone have a look at the following for me

What do you definitely know about her? Perhaps if the only thing you know for definite is whom she married, you will need the MC to establish her age and who her father was.

The information came from my Mother who's Mother was Ada Thornley Norman Thornley sister

also the following information

MI St Bartholomew Church Westhoughton
Hurst/Thornley
Norman beloved husband of Ann Thornley died June 2 1963 Age: 64y
Ann his wife died Jan 26 1983 aged 83y

They had 4 children Hilda, Edith, James (Jim) and Henry

As Aviegal said - to move backwards with any certainty you will need to get that marriage cert to find out her father's details. The witnesses may also help.
