Find Ancestors

Hello campers, ready for a nervous breakdown?!!

I am trying to help someone out with their tree - It's a bit complicated, and there will be more to follow (sorry), but for now it could be massively helpful if we could track this child down. Her name does look rather like Avongila - have tried Angelina, Angelica, Evangelina etc etc but no joy. I can't find a birth, death or any other census entry for her.

Please be aware that, looking at the image, it's uncertain whether she and brother James are children of both Emma Harris and James Steel, or just Emma.

I can't even pinpoint the birthplace!!

Dudley was Staffordshire to 1913when it then came under Worcestershire

Having said that, inspired by Shirley's find, I have just checked all Harris deaths in Dudley 1871-1881 and have seen a Eugenia aged 9 1878.
Just going to check that one out!

Yes, that's the death I meant.
The object of all this is actually Emma Harris. It's a shame 'Avongila' seems to be a non-starter, as with a name like that she should have been more helpful!
I shall get back to you when the person I am helping confirms some info, would really appreciate some more help as soon as that happens.
