Hello

My ancestor Thomas Steel was baptized in Stapleton, Cumberland, son of John Steel in 1749

Thomas married Eleanor Turnbal/Turnbull at Nichol Forest, Cumberland in 1776.

Could someone please help me find out when he died?

I do not know where he was at the time of death, other than his son Joseph moved to Crosby Upon Eden, his son John stayed and married in Brunstock and his son James moved to Brampton

His wife Eleanor died in 1819 in Cockermouth I think, but I am not certain

Any help would be appreciated

my thanks <3

thanks

However I don't think the record is him, as there is a Thomas Steel, born in St Michael, Workington in 1745 to John Steel. This would be a different Thomas to my ancestor and he could not have died in Allonby as he never went so far West

thanks ann

I am not sure where he was in the later years of his life. The latest record that involves John is Joseph Steel's baptism in 1803, so he was still there in 1803
