Allan Report 18 Nov 2014 22:02

To further my research into the family of Robert William Evans b 1875 North Wales I have located the 1881 census for a
Robert Evans b Wales 1873
Parents names
Robert Evans b 1837 Wales
Ellen Evans b 1842 Wales
living in 1881 census Llangian Caernarvonshire
other family members listed in 1881
Owen Evans b 1870 Wales
Catherine Evans b 1877 Wales
John Evans b NKnown Wales
and would like if someone could help me with details of the 1871 and 1891 1901 census for this family
I find it interesting that the county of Birth is not listed on the 1881 census but only mentions the Country of Birth.
Hoping that someone may assist me with the census.

Kind Regards
Allan and Kay P :-|

Hi Bummiejan,
Thank you for all the information on the census records.
I am not sure if this Evans family is my Evans family but I have to begin my research and aiming to cross match the Robert William Evans bc 1875 in North Wales. Fathers name listed on marriage cert in 1907 Robert Evans a farmer not listed as deceased.
Once again thank you for the census records.
Cheers Allan and Kay P

You're welcome.
Not sure how much research you have done, but just in case - make sure you pay attention to the witnesses on the cert, who might be family members.
'Bummiejan'? I like that, might change it...! :-D

Hi Brummiejan,
Thank you for your tip. Yes I have followed through on the witnesses on the marriage cert but to no avail but will apply myself again to the finer detail if only to familiarize myself with the Evans family. Robert William Evans and his wife had two children before they married in 1907. Emma's first marriage ended in divorce so maybe that is why she delayed in putting her name on paper. If only I could door knock. I have extensively research the family of Robert William and Emma Evans and now wanting to find the birth place of Robert William Evans which is listed as North Wales in 1911.
Cheers Allan and Kay

Just out of a matter of interest

* can you give the names of the witnesses on the marriage cert
and the address that the couple were living
* do you know of the names of any of Robert's siblings
* what are the names and DOB of Robert's children
* do you know when Robert died

Sorry for all the questions but the answers could help to establish the right Robert William Evans :-)
