John Martin, born in 1921 at Holborn East London.

Hi,
I'm looking for my father brother, John Martin born in 1921 at Holborn, East London. His parents were: Frederick and Myra Lilian Martin. Unfortunately I had no recollection of John except when he went into the army in w.w 2.
Frederick and Myra moved back to Barnet in 1940 whilst he was in the army. I assume John got married in 1941, but I have no idea about his wife. Can you help me please. Regards Andrew.

Hi Andrew

FreeBMD shows a marriage in 1941 to Helena M Billings in Wandsworth RD but as PricklyHolly says why do you assume he married in 1941?

You could buy this Marriage Certificate to confirm parents but you may waste your money based on assumptions

Holborn is central London, not east London. The Rego District Started 200m W of St Paul's and ran further W, to near the British Museum in Bloomsbury. It straddled the EC and WC postal districts - High Holborn is the boundary between WC1 & WC2.
