This is a baptism registered at Mobberley, Cheshire for 29 Feb 1764, daughter of Richard Massey , farmer of Ollerton, near Knutsofrd. and his wife Sarah Cherry, (whose family came from Mobberley).
There are 7 children of this couple, some baptised at Mobberley the others are at Knutsford.

I can find no other information on this child , neither marriage or burial.

The name is often transcribed incorrectly in this period--. she is on one database as Molloy and another as Mafsey, but i have tried wild card searches too- without success.

any suggestions please. :-S

I was wondering about that one as well Gins. Her father was from Rostherne, it just means she married later in life, was she looking after her father? who knows.
I was hoping to find something with her year of birth on it but no luck, I'm afraid.

My Sophia would be 51 yrs old In 1815. There is a younger one bap at the neighbouring Parish of Rostherne, who would be 22. So that seems more likely.

The <Richard Massey at Ashton has a family there that covers the same dates as Richard at Ollerton ,so discounted him.
Betty is his eldest daughter, but dies at 18. When her father is only 43. His son William becomes a cordwainer in Knutsford, like his grandfather and dies there there in 1811 . . .
