Hi, my friend has asked if could trace anything to do with her G.father as she knows nothing but I've totally hit a wall and wonder if anyone could help me please ?

So far all I have is...............

John Kaleta died 1975 in Nottingham (says born 1926)

Kazimierz Kaleta m Maisie Brown 1951 Nottingham.

Their only child was born 1951 Boston Lincs.

My friend only knew his name was John, she didn't know his name was Kazimierz before but her Grandma was Maisie so I know it's the correct marriage.

Can't find anything else about him though.......... Any help or suggestions would be great - thanks x

The marriage cert would seem to be essential

It will name his father - if known

His place of birth (again, if known) should be on his death cert

Almost certainly not born in UK..........

It seems very likely that he was a Polish serviceman who served with the UK forces, and stayed on

You can't really hope to progress until you know his father's name (marriage cert)
