As Geogre died after statutory registration began in Scotland in 1855, his death certificate will name his parents including his mother's maiden surname if the informant knew the details.

Can you research Scottish Ancestors? If so, I cannot trace any of George Heggie's ancestors. He was born 1796 in Kirkcaldy, Fife, Scotland.
