Hi, could anyone pleas help me - I would be grateful if anyone could look up a newspaper report for me 29-06-1912, on my gg grandmother Frances Darlington nee Jackson, of Groby Road, Crewe, who threw her baby into the fire.

Thank you in advance, would like to resume family history research again after not doing anything, and just one night has got me hooked again!, but really haven't got the time or money at the moment, but hopefully can do some research
:-)

Hi Helen, the incident was widely reported - there are 15 separate articles.

I'll skim through to see which is the most comprehensive and add it here.

EDIT: Some of the articles are very long, will send by pm.

Thank you both, I had heard family tales about the baby but didn't know that she went to broadmoor, and seeing the actual newspaper reports is great. Thanks again for your help..

Poor woman probably had post natal depression and they stuck her in Broadmoor
