Find Ancestors

I am trying to find out how I can get my great great great grandfather's marriage certificate but I'm having problems finding their marriage details. I know he was born in 1801 and I think he was born in Cockerton, Darlington. His wife's name was Elizabeth Martin and I think she was born in Yorkshire in 1803. I have got there son's birth certificate, Robinson Wilson who was born in 1840 at Cockerton, Darlington and I can find them in the 1841 and 1851 census living in Cockerton which gives me archive ref of HO107, book 20, folio, 4, page 2, piece no. 303 but I cannot find any marriage certificate details. Could I please ask advice on how to move forward in my search?

If this is the correct marriage then there wont be a certificate as it's pre 1837
