My grandmother's brother, James Welsh b1885 married Annie Semple Harrison b1886 in Glasgow in 1908. James died in Harrow, Middlesex in 1973 and Annie in Brent, Greater London in 1976. It is unclear when they moved south, and if they had any offspring. Up to mid 1915 it is not believed they had any children. In 1932 James was living in Glasgow as he was the informant of his brother's death.

Assuming they moved directly from Glasgow to London, there are two possible births of possible children - although, as you say it's not believed they had any children up to 1915, I assume you've already checked these out and discounted them:

Many thanks Gritty. This suggests the move south or at least to London was much later in their lives. The most probable explanation of that would be to join one of their children. Their were no children in 1911, and James mother's will written mid 1915 suggests there were none at that time. I'll continue to look for offspring, focussing Scotland. Needs a visit to Edinburgh!

Have you checked to see whether either of them left a Will, which went to Probate?

They may simply not have had children.......................not every couple does

Yes checked out for wills, none recorded.

Agree no children quite possible, the move to London when around 80 is the unusual element here.

An update, on the above. The 1973 death record of James Welsh gave up some clues. The informant was his son in law, Joseph Boon Cantley. Have now established that James Welsh and Annie Semple Harrison had a daughter, Isabella Boyd Welsh, born in Cathcart, Glasgow in 1911. James and Annie moved from Glasgow to London it seems in the 1960’s I imagine to be closer to their daughter.

Isabel (Isabella) married Joseph Boon Cantley in Glasgow in 1935 and I understand they had four children, three born in Cambuslang, Glasgow and one born in England.
