I am trying to find the parents of Ellen Leonard born in Carlow Ireland.
Ellen was born between 1821 to 1829, she married in Manchester in 1860 (no previous marriage stated spinster on this) fathers name on this cert John Leonard a farmer. I know it is a long short but I keep coming up against brick walls, the Irish data base is confusing at least.
here is hoping

She was definitely born (or at least baptised) in Co. Carlow in 1829.

Hi, Broomstick -

Re the baptism - as I said, you'll have to subscribe to the website to see the details.
What I've posted is all that can be seen online without a subscription. I don't have a subscription at present.
Maybe some other helper does, and might look it up for you.

Of course I can't guarantee that that's your Ellen - but name, place and year match what you've said.

Unfortunately, Ellen doesn't show up on that site.

There are, however, various church records for other Leonards in Carlow - probably relatives.
