Was there a brother born 1928 in Sculcoates?

My best guess is that all my grandparents very likely had a few siblings. I'll probably never know but it makes sense that they would have come from large families as this was the norm back then.

Fantastic! Thanks for your help alviegal and greyghost, i've now ordered both my grandads birth and death certificate thanks. Now how do i locate his marriage certificate to my grandmother Margaret Elizabeth Louisa Stella Simms (formerly Hawkins). I seem to recall her friends called her Stella.

That's awesome thanks. I have a dim distant recollection of the name ELIASEN associated with my great grandmother although i never met her. I shall order Harry's birth certificate based on this info as it appears correct. Thanks again for your help. Ideally I am looking for records for 3 generations both paternal and maternal and ideally including birth, marriage and death certificates.

Using this free site for bmd's from Q3 1837 when registration began to around the 1960's or so at present as it's an ongoing project (not Scotland though)

Is this your grandad? The birth was registered Q1 1915, so could have been born mid-ish November onwards 1914 as there was 6 weeks allowed in which to register a birth.

Welcome to the boards Kerensky.

Use the Search facility top right of this page. Click on that and then on Search all members trees. Input Harry's details without the Leonard and you'll find there are 3 members who have his name in their trees. You can click on their names and send a personal message to them - explain who you are and what information you might be hoping to find. Hopefully you will get an answer, but you might not - not everyone uses GR to make contact, but just to store their tree.

Try the same for George.

Make sure you have them in your own tree on here.

Hi all, new member here. After discovering my grandfather's old leather passport i'm interested in sharing some information with any relatives related to George Frizzell of Greenock born 1920 and also any info related to my paternal grandfather Harry Leonard Simms born Hull 1914. :-)
