Find Ancestors

Hi, I'm helping a friend trace her roots and I'm stuck!
Her ancestors can be found in the BMD marriage indexes as well as the 1911 Census.

Her ancestor was Michael Kolopajlo who married Agata Wylinsinte abt 1900 in Bethnal Green. They had 3 children, but only one survived Joseph Kolupajlo. I have noticed the spelling of the surname keeps changing. Since 1900, it has been spelt: Kolupaytio. Kolupajlo, Kulpulio, Kolupaylio, Kolupajlio,

I can't find a death record for Michael or Joseph, but I have been told that Michael died at 100 Sclater Street, Bethnal Green, Middlesex, England.

His son Joseph was also known as George J Brown and can be found living at 84 Sclater Street, Bethnal Green, Middlesex, England

I am to see the mentioned marriage certificate this weekend.

Any ideas of how to trace Michael's and Agata's ancestry?

I think I found Joseph's death record in the index: Joseph Brown died Mar qtr 1960, Poplar. I will have to confirm with my friend when I see her.

I found Joseph at 84 Sclater Street in the 1964 Electoral Register as George J Brown. Family say he was Known as George John Baker or John Baker.
I was told that her father lived in Sclater Street and that her grandfather died at 100 Sclater Street.
