Without more information it's going to be a struggle. There are many John Richardsons of roughly the same age within Yorkshire. He wasn't living with Ann Ruckledge in 1841.

I couldn't see one on there who was a cattle dealer - do you know anything more about him?

Nottsgirl Report 1 Oct 2015 10:00

Ok Austin and Dea Thank you anyway.

All I know is he was born 20 May 1782 christened on 28 May 1782 at Aughton his wife Margaret died 1814 dont know if he remarried. His children were Ann born 1805, Elizabeth 1807, William 1808, Hannah 1810 and Margaret 1813 all Aughton

Hen married Margaret Barnard on 19 June 1803 at Ellerton by Bubwith. I would think he would be still in Aughton in 1841.

On Margaret's Baptism he's listed as a labourer

Hi Austin,

Thank you I didn't see that, he could have changed occupation. On his christening his father George is down as a Farmer.

I could be wrong and have the wrong John Richardson but it all seems to tie in.

Wendy said earlier that wife Margaret died in 1814 ?

Perhaps that death was his daughter?

AustinQ Report 1 Oct 2015 12:10

If John's daughter, Margaret, married John Pinder, it's not the daughter's burial either.

I think Nottsgirl has this for the death/ burial of John's wife:

name(s) Margaret Richardson
Age 29
Birth year 1785
Burial date 13 Jun 1814
Burial place Aughton with East Cottingwith
County Yorkshire (East Riding)
Country England
Archive Borthwick Institute for Archives
Archive reference PR AUG/10 Page 2

There's a note on it to say she was buried at Ellerton.

Hi All,

Thank you so much for all your help. Yes that's the burial I have. There's a possible death/Burial for John Richardson in Howden Dis1854 but I don't have access to the burial record.

John Richardson abt 1819 4 Jan 1854 Royston, St John the Baptist

John Richardson abt 1853 16 Apr 1854 Addingham, St Peter
