I know who Mary A is - she was the head of the household
Doris Rumble is nee Rogers and was an evacuee from Erith. We know about her.

It's Maull? L Groves (Rogers) 1902 who is the probem. Any ideas?

As its so easy to get carried away buying packages etc, I'd rather not at the moment. Even if someone can say if she was a Rogers who married a Grove or a Grove who married a Rogers, that would be a start. BMD records 'might' be recorded in Dartford (Kent) reg, or Bexleyheath/Erith.

There are "5 more people who are officially closed", 3 of whom are likely to be evacuated & currently living relatives.One of them might know but is hard of hearing. Unfortunately, although the near 91 year old has an excellent memory, she flits from one side of the family to another. Too many Mary Ann's and Ellen/Nells!

As a follow up.....

Had a long chat with the 91ish year old and she seems to think that the Colchester deaths do tally with her memories. They did move there after the marriage.
Just to confuse things, Martha was known as Sis!

We now know who the redacted children were - the 92ish person, her 2 sisters + 2 Rumble children. It must have been a bit of a squash.

During the conversation we were also trying to sort out the various Aunt Nell's, none of them registered with that as a first name. Just as I think we've sorted it out she says 'No. That one was called X'.

She might forget a few words every now and again, but most of marbles are intact.
