	not necessarily ............. as Catherine said, you may have to consider the possibility that he just left Mercy, and she went on to marry bigamously. Not unknown!

Member Since: July 2004 Posts: 154 Send Message	I cant thank you all enough for your kindness and help ..on the hayward family and also james yeams all the info i had on him was from his daughters marridge cert in 1841 which states he had been a servant ..and was deceased..mercy had remarried by 1825 so james had to have died after 1818 .and before 1825...thank you ....

	Looking through the census records, I think you will find that Mercy's sister Sarah....married Stephen Impett. (Impett has often been mistranscribed on the census records) This might be her marriage record.........mistranscibed as Sarah May Ward instead of Sarah Hayward......... Sarah May Ward in the England, Select Marriages, 1538–1973 Name: Sarah May Ward Gender: Female Marriage Date: 16 Oct 1825 Marriage Place: Preston-By-Wingham, Kent, England Spouse: Stephen Impett

	Only thing I could find that may be relevant to James Yems/Yeams is this:- Name: James Yeams Gender: Male Baptism Date: 18 Jun 1797 Baptism Place: Westwood,Wiltshire,England Father: James Yeams Mother: Susannah FHL Film Number: 943589 (........................purely as he named his daughter Susannah) He may not, of course, have died. It's possible that he left and she just went on to marry someone else??

	Just for ref:- ames Yems mentioned in the record of James Yems and Mary Hayward Name James Yems Spouse's Name Mary Hayward Event Date 06 Oct 1818 Event Place St. Lawrence, Kent, England ..........so name is noted here with same spelling as that on second marriage of Mercy. YEMS

	On the IGI there is a birth for a Mercy Hayward with parents Robert and Elizabeth. Her christening is given as 14th April 1795 in Birchington, Kent. Is the birth place you mean Acol? This is in the same area as Birchington. Kath. x

Member Since: July 2004 Posts: 154 Send Message	Hello.i am looking for the parents and any siblings of mary /or mercy hayward ..she was b about 1796.in ancle kent .her first marridge was to james yeames.in 1818 and there daughter susannah was my gg grandmother.i have detaqils of susannahs marridge and children ....in1825 mary /mercy .remarried to joseph ablett .where she had 3 children ....i would like to know who her parents where .and what siblings she had ..also the death date of james yeams many thanks for any help ..on this hayward family much appreciated ..thank you ..can i just mention .that on census that i have found of her with her children .she is down as mercy ....
