William Willoughby (music professor) b 1865 in Plymouth married Lucy Harrietta Edgland Manning in Sept 1892 in Plymouth , she was born in Dec 1870 Plymouth. William died Sept 1906 aged only 41. I am looking for all of their children if possible. I know of one definitely - Hubert Victor Willoughby b 2 Nov 1897. I do not have a subscription to other sites, so finding it difficult. Any help in finding their children would be great, possibly their forbears as well? I think there is a connection with Willoughby ironfounders of Plymouth, but yet to find it. Many thanks Chris

That's wonderful Sylvia and Margaret, its very much appreciated. Is there anything about Lucy's origins at all?

Chris

MargaretM

MargaretM Report 29 Jan 2016 21:02

I think this might be Lucy in 1891. Salome Edgland, born United States, is mother-in-law of Philip. Philip's wife Maria was also born United States. Philip is a naval pensioner.

Can't make out place of birth of Salome here, Husband John born Plymouth. They're living at the same address as the Philip Manning family. (I think the MBS means married to British Subject)

Wow Margaret! That's brilliant. When you found Hubert V on the 1911 census at the Masonic School, I remembered long ago being told he had gone to the school. Thank you for your efforts
