1851 Census Help Please.

Hi All,

Need help with 1851 census,looking for John Preston born 1772 Claypole Lincolnshire,. I have him on the 1841 census in Claypole Ref HO107 Piece 616, Folio 14, Pg 20 with an Elizabeth Preston aged 60 maybe his wife. John died in Sept 1856 in Claypole and is buried there. Don't know when they married or if they had children.

Thank you for any help given on this

No problem! Just a tip - do try using 1st name only, it can work a treat if your other info is fairly distinctive, in this case birth 1773 Claypole!

Hi Brummiejan,

Yes I tread that and also for other versions of names but it didn't come up. So he was unmarried, will need to find who the Elizabeth is now that was on the 1841 census with him or as I have found on other before could still have been a widow but put down as unmarried!!!
