Can you help please,
James Bagshaw born 1743 sheffield died 1801 married Mary Corker in 1764 she was born 1737 and died 1814.
i believe they had children in the name of
Francis bagshaw 1761and
Richard Bagshaw 1778
John Bagshaw 1768
i think Richard born 1778 married a Rebecca Downing in 1801 but not 100%
as there is a big difference when the children were born was wondering if there was any more children born to James Bagshaw and Mary Corker.

Both my OH's and my family have had surnames as 2nd names. Usually a female maiden name to continue it on.
I have had a grandchild having grandmother's maiden name. OH has had a female surname used as a 2nd name from early 1800s from the ladies own children up to the early 1900s several generations later.

OH and his sister both had a surname from early in their father's family line as a second name
It is not unusual ti find this!!
