We are searching for Sarah Ann Mann, daughter of Jeremiah & Ann (Harris) Mann, born C1855 Gloucester. We do have a copy now, recently received, of Sarah Ann's b.cert. On searching through the Census we see that Jeremiah was a widower in 1861 & seems to have re-married a Hannah Allen by 1871. At least 2 step-sons, Edmund & Henry Allen are listed.
Our g.grandmother, Sarah Ann Mann was married to George Alloway of Bath, in Christchurch NZ, 1877.
Please can anyone help with knowledge of Sarah Ann's emigration to Australia or NZ? The shipping records are frequently incomplete. Any information as to if Sarah's brothers & sister (C1861) also emigrated or remained in England?
George & Sarah Ann settled in north Canterbury NZ, near a little town Oxford. They worked & lived on a large farm & raised a large family.

Thank you all, very much indeed. Yes, I am confident, at this stage, that the Jeremiah, Ann, & Sarah Ann, Gloucester, is "our" family.

As mentioned, our g.grandmother Sarah Ann married in Christchurch NZ 1877. Our family seem to have no records that indicate other members of her family emigrated to NZ, although I have seen the Mann surname in Papers Past Christchurch.

In NZ, our Census records are NOT available in the way the UK Govt allows. This does restrict research here. Your Parish Register information is amazing. Such a wonderful trove of BDM detail.
