+++DetEcTive+++ Report 22 Aug 2016 19:53

Birth reg 1885 in Nottingham, Florence married Robert Armienson in Nottingham in 1905.

He died in Mauritious on 9 Feb 1915.
Florence remarried 2Q 1915 - she didn't hang around, did she?
I've no idea when Robert was born, although the limited Military Records do say Radford, Nottingham.
His Effects does say to wife 'And children'.

Please can anyone find either Florence or Robert in 1911 please? The surname does appear to have been mucked about a bit.

Mary – thanks for working out who lived in Ilkeston Road. Catherine, not Florence

Greyghost - So Robert Armienson might have been born Robert Armienston Walters, then dropped his mother’s surname when she married?

The Armienson/Swift marriage does help to exclude some of the births.

Aside from Edna M b 1915, we’re left with

Robert Sylvester 1907 West Derby Lancs (He’s not on Lancsbmd)
William Wilfred West Derby 1908
Ellen 1910 West Derby, Lancs

It’s a pity LancsBMD doesn’t show mmn.

Nellie/Ellen dies Nottingham 1939 – on the 1939 register she’s listed as a Patient so no help in identifying her family.
William Wilfred dies Nottingham 1917
Robert Sylvester died W Derby 1907

The ones still living in 1911 are still missing from the census, even using a wide search.

Perhaps we’ll never know where they hid.

Thank you for your excellent efforts

I’ve no idea if they went to Canada, but Robert Sylvester was buried in Walton Park Cemetery with an address in Everton, Lancs. That was in Jul 1907.

Florence was definitely in Nottingham by Jun 1914 to conceive her daughter Edna May – double registered as Armienson and Coddington. She married Walter Coddington after her husband died.

Perhaps I should have made it clear that I was following down the Thacker line – Florence’s parents.

Thank you for kindly accessing the burial registers Greyghost. If Ellen is buried with other Armienson’s, they are obviously related.

With so many Thanker/Armienson offspring dying youngish, it does make you wonder if there was some genetic defect.
