I can find the death of Irvin.......but I can't seem to find a death for Mary.

In answer to your original question,I am trying to find any relatives ,particularly on the Crowther side,despite my Mother being married to Irvin it is unknown if he is my father.
I am pretty sure there may be some more family members out there who can cast further light on this puzzle.

There are quite a number of Broadhead / Crowther births from 1949 onwards, all in West Riding, various places, including (presumably) your own in Leeds.
(Correct surname on FreeBMD, but mistranscribed as Broadmead on Ancestry.)

Are you definitely aware of siblings or half-siblings?

You don't know when your mother died.
Do you know if she was still with Irvin when he died?
Or did they divorce, in which case she could have remarried (as you suggested above) and died under another surname?

If she moved to Wakefield (as this is where Irwin's death is registered), there is a possible listing on the 2014 electoral register.

If that is her death, she would only have been 16 when she married......possible with her parents permission though.

It might be a good idea for you to purchase a copy of Harold's death cert to find out who the informant was.

There is a birth after yours for a Patrick

Is he your brother and are you in touch with him?

He appears on the 2014 Electoral Register.

As far as I know,Irvin remarried around 1978 ,I did think I had found Mary remarried to a Michael Osullivan but it was not the right Mary.
I think Patrick is at least a half brother but I am not in contact as I dont know where he is.
I think there is another possible half or full brother Kenneth born in September 1949,but I have not managed to trace him either.
I also found a possibl half sister,Marion Y Broadhead born in 1953 but again I am unsure where she is.

I will PM you the Electoral Register details for Patrick.
