Im searching for any info on Leonard Carter who was born on 1st December 1918 in the workhouse in Liverpool, Carter is believed to be his mothers maiden name....Mary Carter....any info would be great...

I can't see a birth of Leonard Carter on FreeBMD, Liverpool 1915-1920.

Hi sorry guys,

Leonard was actually born on the 1st December 1918 in a work house in Rice Lane, Liverpool. He was my mothers half brother and I have a copy of his birth certificate, but unfortunately information on my Grandmother is very vague....So I am trying to find info on Leonard hoping to find info on her

But if you have his birth cert and it doesn't show any father then am wondering what other info you can find
He doesn't show on the 1939 register

You say he is a half brother so does your mums cert give any info on her mum

Hi Shirley,

My mum as three sisters, and it appears my Grandfather registered the births but again on two certificates he places my Grandmothers maiden name as Waters and on the othe Carter....We have as yet been unable to trace her with any proof that the information is actually about her....We can find no family members of hers as we dont know anything about them apart from the fact she was disowned...We presume this was for being pregnant out of wedlock...but dont know for sure...keep looking i think.... :-( :-S
