Can anyone please help me to find the birth record for Jane. This is the family

I have found birth records for all the children I've found for the couple, on one the surname was spelt Jeaques, but cannot find one for Jane, no baptism record for Elizabeth.

Having checked the GRO indexes online using surname and MMN Brown I found another daughter last week. The certificate I received today confirms the correct parents. Elizabeth Jacques born 26th August 1852. This date is very close to the baptism record I have found for Jane who was baptised at Higham on the Hill on the 10th October 1852

Charles and Martha had another daughter in 1861 who they also named Elizabeth but I haven't found a death for the first Elizabeth, were parents in the habit of having more than one living child with the same name.

I believe Jane is in Berkshire in 1871 and in Hanover Square London in 1881 but I cannot find Elizabeth born 1852.

Are Elizabeth and Jane one and the same or am I missing something?

They may have been twins and one was born dead??

What date was Elizabeth's birth registered, and who by? Maybe they simply changed their minds between registering and the christening.

Elizabeths birth was register on the 13th September 1852 by her mum Martha.

I was wondering if they were one and the same but thought I'd ask for advice.

I'd agree with AustinQ, think they are the same person and there was a change of mind over the name. Sometimes happened but often it was an extra name added by the time of the christening.

So that was before the birth or baptism of Jane.

When did Charles and Martha marry?

Could Jane have been the daughter of Martha and she was registered under her mother's name but they baptised her under the name of Jacques

Catherine- they'd already had another daughter ,Sarah Ann, before Jane.

On the 1871 census both Sarah and Jane are maids in a very large household. Sarah is a laundry maid and Jane is a scullery maid.
