FIRST CAN I THANK EVERYONE WHO MAY BE ABLE TO HELP ...i am trying to help a friend who like me is researching her breeze family .her father was edward .w .breeze .b1920.adress 11 foster lane .cheapside . as far as we know .only son .of edward breeze b 1884 arundel st bethnal green.and alice m armstrong ..edward died 1946 .his parents was also called edward and jessie nee cordery ...there is a posability that edward b 1884 had been married and could be other children .from that marridge .my friend sally as no other information . other than what i have told you .except that her grandfather edward b1884 was in a dance band ..hope it makes sence to all who read this .as its been very complicated to my friend she as tried to find anyone who can help her .but not been successful..where we differ in breeze fam mine are from yarmouth .thank you .

Ancestry have a WW1 record for Edward which shows that he originally joined the Army in 1899, Lincolnshire Regt, serving 12 years. His occupation is given as Housekeeper, yes Housekeeper! Two children are mentioned but no names and no marriage record, although Alice is given as next of kin.

Original 1899 Enlistment gives age as 14; POB unknown. Discharged at Portsmouth Oct 1911, so we should be able to find him on the 1911.

Potty - re the 1908 marriage - yes, they are, but there are still three brides and two grooms on that record.

But anyway, Greyghost later showed that that Alice married either Joseph Garratt or Frederick Cox.

Have edited that find to account for both couples I think in 1911 - as below

Edward 1911 - he's one of many of the 2nd Battalion Lincolnshire Regt. in Barracks. He is a Lance Corporal birthplace unknown. Gomer, Alverstoke, Gosport just across the harbour from Portsmouth where he was discharged later in the year.
