I know my grandmother (walter,s daughter) had cousins who were called pratt but who were the evans family side but sadly my grandma has passed and my father didn,t know how they were related but i can let him know now. :-) :-)

In 1891 William seems to be with his Evans grandparents and is recorded as William Evans (no Pratt surname mentioned)

A tree on Ancestry says that William Evans Pratt born 16 Dec. 1884 was the son of William Evans & Mary Ann Pratt.
It seems that he was the son of Mary Ann who didn't marry William Evans until 1885.
