Looking for this person in the 1939 register.

Mother Elizabeth Watkins
Father George Wilkins

Married Thomas William Adams 1918.

I have her on the 1901 census and the 1911 but cannot seem to find her after her marriage in the 1939.

Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have her exact date of birth to make it easier to find her. There are a few Lily M. Adams but none that look to be the right one.

Still can't find her using that birth date. The only one that comes up with that birth date is an Alice L Adams but she seems to be married to a Richard J. Adams living in Surrey.

Its definitely the Bridgend Lily May as it states Tyneswys as her birth place on both 1901 & 1911 census!

Cannot understand why I cannot find her on the 1939.....

Maybe her parents in 1939 will show something....

There are some children surname Adams mmn Wilkins born in same district as marriage. Could someone look at Glennis Adams in 1939 register might be the eldest child.

Just realised that there is a closed record on the above 1939 Register record. Maybe you know if there are any other children or if it could be Lily?

think it might be for number 47? as cannot see the address anywhere if you catch my drift :-)

along with many others who have closed records.

The closed record is definitely with the Adams household as Rachel A. Scott in the next household is number 1 in that household, not number 2, so the closed record has to be person number 5 in the Adams household.

The addresses on that page are all even numbers, so wouldn't expect number 47 to be showing on that page.

If it is then he is not one of their children.

A record would be closed because the person involved was still alive in around 1990 when they stopped updating the register. Before 1990 the register was regularly updated and anyone who had died previously had their record opened and any female who married had their married name included.

To get a closed record opened you have to have proof that they have died (i.e. a death certificate).

If you go to search trees and put in Glennis Adams 1918 someone called Margaret looks like she has her in her tree. Margaret may be a daughter of Glennis. You could then send her a message.
