Have just read your post on your family in Elvaston. My name is Sheila Bown (nee Garratt). My grandmother's name was Rose Madeley and she lived in Elvaston. She married Frederick Richard Garratt who was killed in the the first world war.Her father was Aaron Madeley who was born in Dalbury Lees. I believe she had a brother named Herbert. However she was born Mickleover.
I have lived in Derby all my life I would be very interested in hearing from you

Hi my name is charlotte madeley and i live in Derbyshire. my grandad is ray (ramon) madeley and he has 3 sons, Steve Madeley (my dad), Robert madeley and Richard Madeley. My grandad was born in Elvaston, Derby and his mum and dad were called Jane and Herbert ( aka Kelly) madeley. I'd love to hear from anyone who has any info on my family or if your part of my family please get in touch!!!!!!!!! I believe my great grandfather came from shropshire and is 1 of 7 children. thanks charlotte.
