Chris in Sussex No Galiegue's in either churches. Here are the Noe's at La Patente A Jean Noe was a godfather to a Madeleine Nocq baptised 28 Feb 1703, born 22nd daughter of Isaac Nocq and Hellen Clery who were both from Churgais, France. Other godparent was Madeleine Turquin On 27 May 1781 a Pierre Breton was baptised son of Pierre and Madeleine Breton nee Noe. Born 5th. Godparents were Led. pete and Led. mere which is French. There are several Noe's listed at St Jean. Do you have any firstnames? There are also quite a few Galliers at both churches. Do you have any firstnames for them at all? Ben

Sarah Wants a holiday In 1698 there was an Judith Deramey daughter of Izaac Deramey and Judith nee Orange. Godparents were Jean and Esther Orange. In 1724 a Marthe Orange was a godmother to a Marthe Chaigneau baptism. In 1759 a Jean pierre Orange was a godfather to a Jean Aigle baptism. In 1760 a Marie Hochecorne was baptised to Daniel and Ann nee Orange. Godfather was a Jean Orange. The same couple had a Daniel Hochecorne born in 1762. Godmother was a Marie Orange, and an Anne born in 1764. The next child born in 1766 had a godmother of Rachel Orange. They subsequent children had no Orange godparents. If any of these ring a bell, just PM me and I will send you the full details. No Oranges are at St Jean. Ben

Linda Smith I couldnt find the marriage. Do you have an exact date at all? However I think I have found Annes baptism. Born 18 March 1778, baptised 27 March 1778, daughter of Louis and Marie Prieur. Godparents were Jaques Bueziville and Anne Myles. Ben

Natalie Jacobs. No Sodos at St Jean but I found these at La Patente: Samuel Sodo baptised 5 Feb 1757 son of Samuel Sodo and Catherine Fret, both originated from London. Born 17 Jan. Godfather Jacques Fret. Godmother Marie Sodo. They had a daughter Magdeleine baptised 10 Sep 1758, born 30 August. Godfather Jacques Sodo. Godmother Magdeleine Dragauld. And they had a Marie Sodo born 27 May, baptised 7 June. Godfather Josue Cromiar and godmother was Marie Mauge. All children of Samuel and Catherine Sodo. Ben

Deborah Coone Sorry the registers only go up to 1784 for borth churches due to Huguenot churches being less used as the descendants of the original immigrants began to use Anglican and other denominations by the 1780s Ben
