Yes, I'm an Aussie but I'm a bit too fair to be a 'real' one!

Who is waiting for us to go to bed? Are you going to talk about us?
I would stay up just to keep an eye on you - but I have a nice warm bed and a good book waiting for me.

'night, everyone!

Too early for bed in the West, but only cr*p on the telly so came on here.

Cold here, also. Last night 1oC.

A bit of Aussie did you know.

Did you know that in the 1850's ( maybe before ) that Aussies born there were called 'Currency' and those born in England were called 'Stirling'.?.....Just been reading all 'interesting trivia as such in a google book.....lost the connection and don't have the name of the book....Helpful aren't I?

Good night

Hi Susan with numbers

If you want an accurate description of Australia, read Terry Pratchett's "The Last Continent."

LOL

Hello, Allan. You're up early:) It's a lovely sunny morning here - very fresh but I had coffee on the verandah. Not bad for the middle of winter:))

Hi SueMaid

Don't even ask, but most mornings I am up about 3.00am and go walking for two hours. I try to go most days but the last couple of years it has been a bit hit and miss.

Not as cold here this morning as it was yesterday

Yes well Lynda. When you're upside down the sun slips off the sky and you get the dark. You're having a better summer than last year.

Good morning/evening all. Now I understand why we lie down when it's dark and stand up when the sun shines.

Winter Drawers Ever Near Report 14 Jul 2009 23:55

Hello from Surrey, England.

Small world we live in.

My sil's brother emigrated to Perth and was walking down the road one day and a chap stopped him and asked his name.

Turned out they had both gone to primary school in Scotland.

The world gets smaller and smaller.

It does get smaller, Aileen and ain't that a wonderful thing?

Good morning Annabel:)) Hope you have a lovely day before the rain comes. It's beautiful here on the east coast but rain is forecast tomorrow so I'll make the best of it.

A magpie has just landed on my verandah for breakfast:))
