It's a very easy site to use

If you select births Surname Matthews mothers maiden name Bee from 1930. then you will find the births reg Bradford
If you are looking for births though pre 1875 you may not find what you are looking for as before 1875 there was no legal requirement to register a birth . After 1875 a birth had to be reg within 6 weeks otherwise a fine was imposed for non or Kate registration

I would recommend you get one or both of the death certs to see who the informant was It should give their address at the time plus if Barbara wasan informant it will give her surname and address at the time

Buy the certs from

www.gro.gov.uk cost £9.25 using the GRO refs as I posted above

you have to register on the site ,free , then specify the type of cert wanted ie death cert

Click the box that asks if the GRO ref is known then fill in the boxes asking for the ref on the relevant order page .

put in the name as listed on the ref not what you think any second name may be .
