Find Living Relatives

Completely new here.

I have someone match with several people in my family tree (My family surname is DALE).
But a Lesley Mullett has matches, I know her account is dormant as first message I sent was in 2019 and is unread +others are the same.

I have searched on Facebook but only found 5 Lesley Mullett's in total and one has gotten back after years of trying and it's not that person.

So are there any Mullett's out there who have a connection to the Surname Dale.

Sorry that is all I have to go on.

This is a case for a Miss Marple (I'm afraid).

Unfortunately, it's very unlikely that anyone connected to Lesley will happen upon your post here.

I'm assuming that when you say her account is dormant you are meaning her GR account?
Looking at "Search all member trees" (under "Search" at top right of this page), there's a Lesley Mullet born in 1969 in Kingswinford who is in her own tree here on GR.

Is that the person you mean?

Now looking at FreeBMD ( www.freebmd.org.uk ) I see that the birth of a Lesley Anne Mullett was registered in Dudley Reg district, which would include Kingswinford, in 1969.

Her mother's maiden name was Guest.
Does that ring any bells with you?


That Lesley's parents married in Dudley in 1958 - Ivan F (born 1936, mmn Fellows) and Shirley
(probably born 1936 , mmn Yapp)..

Or via her Dad ??

I don't see any record of that Lesley , other than her birth.

Her parents were living in the Wolverhampton area in 2018, per Electoral Roll on Ancestry.co.uk

Of the two phone book entries suggested by Jink20, A Mullet has only one T.

L Mullett has two.

However, cross-checking with the Electoral Roll, that is a Laura-Jane Mullett.

Just a thought, have you tried to find Mum and Dad (Ivan and Shirley) on Facebook and then checked Leslie's name against friends on their accounts?

The Mullett family feature in several trees on Ancestry.
Thomas Reginald Mullett, for instance, (see 1939 above) is in 16 trees.

There are Dales in three of the public trees.
Some of those Dales (and other surnames in the trees) are in Dudley and area.

However, there's no easy way to see how the two names are linked.
The trees which include both Dales and Mulletts have many thousands of people on them.

The "Smith/Hesson Family Tree" has 73787 people on it.
The "The Fern Tree UPDATED 30TH NOV 2016" has 31233 people on it.
The "Howard/Smith & Redding/Dunn Tree" has 67594 people.

Smaller trees, with only a few hundred people on them, don't include any Dales.

If you don't have a sub to Ancestry, perhaps you should take their 7-day free trial, and check the trees out for yourself.
You could contact the tree "owners" and ask about the Mullett/Dale connection.

I suspect the Dales may be a very distant twig on the Mullett tree, or vice versa, perhaps at a distance of several marriages.
