Adding a post

In the Community section of our site you'll see we have different types of message boards. The General Chat board is there for you to meet other members and chat about anything. You can post requests for help with your research on the Find Ancestors and Find Living Relatives boards. If you've hit a brickwall with your research go to the Help Clinic.

To add a post to any of the boards, simply click on 'add topic' on the board you'd like to post a message on. You can enter a title for your thread and then add your message in the box that says 'subject'. Once you have typed your thread just click on 'submit'. If you are adding a thread on the Find Ancestors or Find Living Relatives boards, where possible, please put the name of the relative, place of birth and year of birth in the subject line of your thread.

We don't let you know when you have a reply, so you will have to check your post on a regular basis to check for replies. We do offer some helpful tips here for newcomers when you are adding a new message.
