him of 9 Barnes Court, her of 14 Barnes Street, witnesses John O'Mara and Mary Ann Wilkie.

James O'Mara (or as posted above O'Hara) married 21/12/1912 Burnley St Peter parish church to Mary Ann Madden, named his father as Dennis O'Mara, slater, lived 7 Maekin st Burnley. witnesses were Eliza Short & William O'Mara. This would confirm his birth year as he was a 21 year old bachelor, labourer.

Well there you go, yet another variation, James was registered as O'Hara:

just been looking at the images of the census's for mara and maker
cant see a thinkg on one, ... could be they didnt nderstand there accents and wrote maker

You really need to try the Lancashirebmd website, it gives mmn for Burnley registrations.

It shows a number of name variations, including William Meara 1888, John Mara 1899, I think Alice Ann Mara 1892 (presume she died).

They had 13 children, 9 of which survived to 1911, in addition to the death posted by Dea another death will probably be John O'mara born in 1890 as they had a later child born in 1899.

Go take a look, and when searching use both parents names but click on the "vague" button - it still doesn't bring up all their children though.

Don't know if you have this but Lancs OPC shows Dennis's burial and another one for a Denis who must have been his son as the address is the same as census details:
