Find Ancestors

Could anyone help me please I am trying to find mary and ann tidy in 1871 census. Ann was married to James Tidy and Mary was their daughter. Ann was born about 1829 on the Isle of Wight and Mary was was born in Plymouth Devon about 1870. James was a stone mason and Iknow that by 1881 they had moved to Worksop in Notts. I think that James had possibly moved to Worksop in 1871 as I have found a James Tidy (who was born in Cornwell) lodging there on the census, but no sign of his wife or daughter. Could anyone help or give me advice on where else to look please? regards Mary

Mary Do you know for sure that James & Ann were married? Was he shown as married in the 1871 you found.? Maybe Ann & daughter Mary were shown under a different surname in 1871? Angela

Yes this is my Mary. It was 1871 that I couldnt find them but thanks to all you kind people I think I have located them now.

Thanks for the info. Im a bit puzzled as to why Thomas is down as being born in Jarrah. Ithink this must have been a mistake by the registrar. But its another mystery to solve ah well
